Ingredients:
– 2 pounds of chicken wings
– 1/2 cup hot sauce (adjust based on your preferred spice level)
– 1/4 cup melted butter
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust based on your preferred spice level)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a bowl, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
3. Place the chicken wings in a large ziplock bag and pour in the marinade. Seal the bag and toss to coat the wings evenly. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour (overnight for best results).
4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to around 375°F (190°C).
5. Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil and fry for about 8-10 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
6. Once fried, transfer the wings to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for an additional 15-20 minutes to ensure they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
9. Serve hot with your Smoked Gouda Cheese Dip. Enjoy the fiery deliciousness of these hot chicken wings!
